There are subtle differences between the female and the male knee which carries a lot of significance. The female knee has a narrow notch, compared to the male knee, and because of this narrow notch the ligaments in the female knee have very little room for them and are at high risk to get injured during twisting moments. That’s why sport injuries such as ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) tears are much more common in females compared to male athletes.
